• I want to thank (Green Irene Founders) PJ and Rosamaria for affording me the opportunity to do something that means so much, not only to me, but to the public that I have dealt with so far. The experience that I had today doing my very first Green Irene exhibit was phenomenal. The enthusiasm from the visitors to our table recharged my batteries beyond your wildest imagination. The public is waiting to embrace a company that meets them at a level of truth and caring. They are impressed with the products and are anxious to learn more about green. What have I taken away from this exercise?
  1) Green Irene has the potential to be the people’s green service and product provider.
  2) Exercises like these bring a closeness and puts a face on our company that cannot be achieved through any other media.
  3) There is a demand for [toxic free] cleaning products.
  4) The giveaways of Green Irene Eco-bags are fantastic.

• That’s when Jen LeMay came to the rescue AGAIN! She sent me a link to a company doing pretty much the same thing I was already doing BUT, they had a complete searchable database online. They had training already set up for everything I still didn’t know and wanted to learn. They have client forms, websites, marketing materials, everything I’d always wanted and said “I will get to it eventually”. Everything was already set up and waiting for me to partake.
  Green Irene provides training, resources and products for people just like me, who want to make a difference, but need to actually make money doing it. Through them I have updated my previous training in Toxic Free Living and added things like Energy Efficient Lighting, Safety and Emergency Preparedness, Water Conservation & Purity, and Green Office Makeovers. Green Irene is a new company in the last three years. During that time they have become a member of the Direct Selling Association and just announced today that they are officially members of the Better Business Bureau.

  With my new “formal” training, website, product information and Powerpoint presentations I can finally do what I love, and even make some money doing it. (That should make the husband happy)

• When I first heard about the sales contest, I pledged to myself a personal goal to win the prize.  Having this goal in mind drove me to be even more diligent about talking to anyone and everyone about what we can do to improve the environment.  In addition to my duties an eco-consultant, I also hold a full time job.  Even before the sales contest, I tried to engage everyone I could in conversation about green ideas–whether at work, out shopping, or just hanging out with family and friends.  At the start of the contest I used my weekends to canvas my neighborhood, handing out fliers and spreading the word about the services Green Irene can provide.  I also placed an ad in the local newspaper.  Eventually my work paid off and I started getting more calls from people wanting to schedule home makeovers or to buy products.  I also have to send a special thank you to PJ, Dale, and the rest of the Green Irene team for always being available to answer my questions or give advice.  With their help and a lot of hard work I was able to accomplish my goal.  My family and I look forward to a great year in 2009!
